THORNTON, Colo. (CBS4) – Community members are coming together to support the family of a woman who lost her unborn child in an accident in Thornton two weeks ago.
On Feb. 18 two vehicles collided at the intersection of 138th and Holly Street. One of the cars went onto the sidewalk, striking Leah Montgomery, her mother and her son, who was being pushed in a stroller. Leah Montgomery was also pregnant and lost her unborn baby girl as a result of her injuries.
As a school resource officer, Leah’s husband Matthew Montgomery spends a lot of his time at Broomfield High School. Hundreds of people at the school and the others he serves are doing what they can to support the Montgomery family.
